MedNOW Clinics is excited to announce we will be opening our 10th clinic at Rose Hospital on August 1st!


Dr. Craig Murk and Nurse Practitioner Madeleine (Maddie) Brown will be serving patients from this location. Patients are welcome to call (720) 878-7055, our current Aurora number, to schedule an appointment any time! The new Rose number will be coming soon.

Dr. Craig Murk has a passion for promoting longevity and enhancing overall healthspan through preventative health strategies. With a focus on personalized care he aims to help patients achieve and maintain optimal health by addressing potential issues before they become serious concerns.

Dr. Murk loves the great outdoors, including skiing, gardening and catching waves on surf trips. Growing up on the coast, Dr. Murk ultimately settled down in Colorado for medical school and residency after receiving an engineering degree from the University of Florida.
 
Madeleine is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wagner College and Master of Science from Post University. She offers more than 8 years of experience in healthcare with experience in orthopedic care, spine care, and surgical services. She was most recently with the Orthopedic and Spine Care team at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, CO.

Madeleine has lived in Colorado since 2016, moving here from NYC. She is a lover of live music, enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time outside whenever possible. She also enjoys skiing, hiking, yoga, cycling, and loves to be near the water!

March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about the importance of prevention and early detection. Colorectal cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in the United States, but when detected early, it is highly treatable—and often preventable. Most colorectal cancers begin as precancerous polyps in the colon or rectum. Routine screening allows these polyps to be identified and removed before they develop into cancer. Screening is recommended starting at age 45 for most adults, or earlier for those with certain risk factors or a family history. A colonoscopy remains the gold standard for screening. This safe and effective procedure allows a specialist to examine the colon and remove precancerous polyps during the same visit. If results are normal, screening is typically repeated every 10 years. If you need a referral, you can contact our office directly. For patients at average risk, Cologuard® is an FDA-approved, at-home screening option. This non-invasive test checks a stool sample for blood and abnormal DNA markers. If negative, it is repeated every three years. A positive result would require follow-up with a colonoscopy.
