Please review the policies below regarding your appointment type. These policies cover frequently asked questions like:

  • Appointment Policy

    Everyone's Time is Equally Valuable.

To help provide timely service to our patients, we prefer to schedule all visits. You must arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment. For new patients and physical exams, you must arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment time. If you arrive at our office later than this, we will try to work you back into the schedule, or perhaps offer an appointment to you with another provider. Out of courtesy to our other patients, we may be forced to ask you to reschedule your appointment.

  • Walk-Ins/ Same-Day Visits

Patients who walk in with a non-emergency condition will be fit into the existing schedule as best as possible, or they will be asked to return later in the day when the schedule allows.

  • Well Visits

To maintain good health it is important to come in for regular checkups. We recommend that you call our office 2 week(s) in advance so you may choose the date that best fits your needs.

  • Sick Visits

We make every effort to schedule appointments for ill patients on the day that you call us. Most of our providers have same-day appointments available, and can be more flexible with telehealth appointments (virtual visits). Please call our office ahead of time so that we can minimize the time that you will spend waiting. If you have a medical emergency during office hours, we will do our best to see you or refer you to the appropriate facility.

  • Emergencies

If an emergency should arise, please call 911.

Emergencies are considered to be those conditions that are life-threatening: loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizure, etc.

In the case of minor emergencies (lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, sprains), please call 720-878-7055 first for instructions.

  • Laboratory Testing

A provider may need to rely on results of laboratory testing along with a physical exam to determine a diagnosis and course of treatment. We perform a few simple laboratory tests (urinalysis, strep, urine pregnancy, and mono) here at our clinic.

Some tests may need to be sent to an outside lab for further examination. You will receive a separate bill from the laboratory for which you will be responsible. Your medical insurance frequently pays for all or a portion of these charges. If you do not have insurance there are discounts for some out-of-office lab tests, so please discuss these with the staff.

  • Prescription Refills

It is our policy that all prescription refill requests are processed within 2 business days of the request. Please understand that prescription refills may not be authorized by the provider.

  • Referrals

Please contact our office regarding your referral needs. Please allow 3 business days for the completion of referrals.

  • Vaccine Policy

Our vaccine policy is to follow the schedule outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

If you have any questions about our policies, please refer to our new patient registration form.
