Emily has been working in healthcare since 2007. She began working as a CNA while attending nursing school in Philadelphia. Through her nursing career, she worked in various settings including the Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, and Hematology/Oncology. A highlight of her career was travel nursing across the country-which was what brought her to settle in Denver in 2016. Working with patients and their families in the ICU for several years highlighted how important preventative care in the primary care setting was. This inspired her to become an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Master's Degree from the University of Colorado in 2022, and was chosen for fellowship with the Colorado Center for Nursing Excellence in the Geriatric Workforce Engagement Program under a HRSA Grant.
Emily and her family enjoy the outdoors and love to take advantage of every season. In the winter, they can be found snowmobiling, skiing, or on the ice fishing. When the weather turns warm, walleye beware! Her and her family love to camp and especially look forward to making fires and smores. Emily hopes to learn how to wakeboard this summer without breaking any bones. Throughout the year, she enjoys reading, tending to her houseplants, walking with her two fur babies and human baby, and binge-watching shows.
