World Patient Safety Day

September 17 is World Patient Safety Day

September 17 is World Patient Safety Day, a reminder that safe care starts with a strong partnership between patients and providers. At MedNOW, your health and safety are always our top priorities, and we encourage all patients to play an active role in their care.

Here are four simple but powerful ways you can help keep yourself safe:
  • Speak up about your health – Share your symptoms, medications, and allergies openly with your provider.
  • Ask questions – If you don’t understand a treatment, test, or prescription, ask until everything is clear.
  • Use medicines safely – Take medications only as prescribed and never share them with others.
  • Be involved in your care – Stay informed, follow care instructions, and work closely with your healthcare team.

Together, we can create the safest and healthiest experience possible. Thank you for trusting MedNOW with your care and for being an active partner in your health journey.

December is Flu Vaccination Awareness Month. Did you know that approximately 500,000 people are hospitalised due to flu-related complications in the U.S. every year? Influenza is a common respiratory disease that spreads easily. While most people are only sick for a few days before they get better, some people can get very sick and stay sick for a long time, even people who are in perfect health. The best way to fight against this disease is to receive your annual flu shot. Flu shots are safe, quick, easy, and an important step in keeping yourself healthy during the flu season. If you have yet to schedule an appointment to receive your flu shot, we highly encourage you to do so at your earliest convenience. To book your flu shot appointment, please call your MedNOW Clinic, or you can schedule your appointment online through our website! If you have any more questions regarding the flu shot, the CDC provides excellent information. If you need assistance scheduling your appointment, call your MedNOW clinic. Our staff members are always willing to help! Thank you for taking care of your health!
